Sample Food Festival & Le Corden Bleu presents a two day workshop designed to take your passion for food to the next level.
The Sample Food Festival’s season of events is launching with two exclusive and hands-on workshops. Run by industry heavyweights, these one-day courses will take you through all the tricks of writing and photographing the culinary arts.
Hone your food writing skills and kick-start your career in gastronomic journalism with leading voice in all things food, culture & travel writing – Justin Bergman (The New York Times, Time magazine, New York magazine, Modern Farmer, Monocle magazine) – in Eat Your Words Food & Wine Writing. This course will provide budding writers with detailed instruction on how to develop ideas that food editors will love and craft compelling stories for publication. Then put these skills into practice onsite at Sample Festival to generate and submit stories to be published online that you will receiving invaluable feedback on from a seasoned editor.
And these with an artistic eye for the delectable will be treated to an incredible hands-on experience in Food Photography & Styling with the award-winning food photographer Fran Flynn, who’ll show you how to ensure ultimate mouth-watering photos every time. You’ll cover natural light food photography techniques, image styling, exploring objects and surfaces, the use of props, correct equipment and social media applications.
