Cape Byron Distillery is perched in the heart of the Brook Family’s 96 acre Farm (Brookfarm) in the hinterland of Byron Bay. From the top of the farm you can see the first light pass over the light house. The distillery itself rests amongst the Macadamia orchard & Rainforest that the Brook’s have regenerated. The Distillery was purpose built on one of the only bare plots of land remaining. Inside you will find our custom made copper pot still (named George) next to our cellar door bar made from locally sourced Norfolk pine and recycled materials.
Brookie’s Byron Dry Gin is a traditional dry style of gin that captures the unique flavours of the subtropical rainforest of Northern Rivers. We have been regenerating rainforest for the past 30 years and it is from this 35,000+ rainforest that we draw inspiration and wild harvest a large portion of our Native botanicals. Working with Native Australian flavours means that there are very short growing seasons, rather than deterring us we embrace this seasonality and show case it in our gin.
