Terms & Conditions

Packages and rates as quoted are subject to availability. Accommodation packages listed are valid until 14 December 2018 excluding public holidays and peak periods of 29th March – 3rd April 2018 & 20th July – 22nd July 2018. Excluding accommodation packages, accommodation rates quoted are per room per night on a room only basis, unless specified. All rates are inclusive of GST and quoted in AUD. All credit card transactions (including payments and refunds) are in AUD and The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa cannot be held responsible for any foreign exchange fluctuations or international transaction fees imposed by the credit card merchant. Rates may increase without notice due to any changes in or the imposition of government charges taxes or levies. Accommodation rates include use of resort facilities including pool, sauna and gymnasium. All rooms are non-smoking.

Payment for all charges on departure incurred by guests may be made by using:
• Cash in Australian Currency
• Debit Card / Eftpos
• Personal cheque with prior management approval
• Bank cheque
• Traveller’s Cheques or Foreign Currency
• Credit Card where a surcharge of 1.5% will apply


Check-in time is 3.00pm and check-out is 11.00am. Additional charges apply to guarantee early arrival and late departure. (Group check-out is 10.00am).

Luggage Storage

Our Reception team will arrange storage of luggage for guests. All luggage must be clearly labelled in order to ensure efficient and prompt service.

Children Policy

Infants 0-2 years of age utilising existing bedding are free of charge, cots are charged at $20.00 per night. Children 3-12 years of age are charged at a child rate of $40.00 per night per child. A maximum of two children under 12 years can share one room with two adults. Special children’s menus are available on request.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of any cancellation of, or amendment to a reservation must be provided in writing.

Full charges will apply for no shows.

During the standard season a cancellation fee of 50% of the total accommodation cost will apply if cancellation occurs less than 7 days prior to arrival.

During the high season a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total accommodation cost will apply if cancelled within 30 days of arrival.

Any amendments/cancellations to bookings will not be refunded after check in.

Over Booking

The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa reserves the right to over book which may result in relocation to another hotel. In this event The Resort will attempt to secure accommodation of at least an equal or greater standard.

Trading Terms

If payment terms are not met The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa reserves the right to release all room space.

Force Majeure

The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa will not be in breach of this agreement or any way liable to any party, if it is prevented from complying with this agreement by reason of act of God, act of public enemy, Act of terrorism, war, earthquake, riot, explosion, compliance with any law or government restraint order, rule regulations, strikes, lockouts or any other cause not reasonably within the control of The Resort.


The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa adheres to the Innkeepers Act.

UNDER the Innkeepers Act 1968, an innkeeper may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest’s property even though it was not due to any fault of the innkeeper or any servant in the innkeeper’s employ. This liability however: (a) extends only to the property of guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the inn, (b) is limited to one hundred dollars to any one guest except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody, (c) does not cover motor-vehicles or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them.
