Weekend we won't forget

The best birthday present ever....

Last August, I arranged a gorgeous surprise weekend away at the Byron at Byron to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday (and escape the Melbourne winter weather).

When I phoned to book our weekend, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Upon arrival, the reception staff greeted my husband with "Happy Birthday Matt" which was wonderful. We then enjoyed the complimentary sparkling in our stunnig room, listening to the night sounds of nature from our balcony.

We had a fabulous weekend, relaxing by the beautiful pool and walking along the stunning beach. Breaky and dinner in the restaurant were amazing, friendly staff again, fabulous food, and yummy cocktails.

On Sunday as we left, we were so relaxed it felt like we had been away for a week rather than a weekend.

But the best news came a few weeks later, when after many months of trying for a baby, my obstetrician confrimed that I was pregnant, and that I had conceived on our romantic weekend away! We welcomed our baby boy, Sam, 40 weeks later, on June 3rd, and he is gorgeous.

Thank you Byron at Byron, it was a weekend that we won't ever forget!
