RESORT AND SPA

Great Resort for Families

There is so much to share about our numerous visits to the Byron at Byron (we have been 5 times now!).

Last year we decided we would bring our children (3 aged 8, 12 and 15) over the New Year period and we booked two gorgeous rooms in one of our favourite sections (Bangalows) where you can lay in bed and listen to the frogs in the springs and being located near the tennis courts and superb pool it wasn’t too far for the family to be and do their own thing. Our kids just revel in traveling and always look forward to the culinary delights of where we visit and the whole experience of getting dressed up for dinner. We dined most nights in the gorgeous restaurant where there seemed to be repeat orders for the Wagyu beef that featured, by our kids – yes – no kiddies’ menu for them! We booked two rooms next door to each other and our girls loved pampering themselves in the deep soaker baths and reclining to watch their movie marathon on the chaise!

We would stroll the length of Tallow beach, took several walks through the dense and ever-changing rainforest – spotting the most beautiful baby birds on the lake and coming across a couple of tiny snakes – things we don’t often see in the bustle of Sydney!

There was a bit of bad weather when we came to Byron but there was always plenty to fill our time in with – kids don’t know the difference if it is raining and they are in the pool – there was spa treatments for us, internet interludes for the kids and surprisingly there were a few other families there too – so everyone made a friend. New Year’s Eve was fantastic with the live show and dinner which included karaoke, and was an absolute hoot! Certainly a great place to celebrate the coming of the New Year and great that we could capture the attention of the kids during what is usually a very adult oriented evening!

The experience of The Byron is just sublime. A place you go to be pampered and rejuvenated. Thank you – for all the times we have been able to escape to The Byron! Our memories of The Byron start way back from the second week you were open til now and we look forward to many more visits…
