RESORT AND SPA

Could have stayed there forever

We honeymooned in Byron Bay in February this year after having been to the Blues Fest a couple of times and falling in love with the area. We originally had not booked into The Byron At Byron, but two days before our final accommodation booking we received a phone call to inform us that due to heavy rain the resort we booked into had suffered structural damage and we would be unable to stay there. The staff were very apologetic and helpful but nothing could be done but to find somewhere else at very short notice. They suggested a number of places but none of them really suited us and what we wanted for the very last night of our honeymoon! We searched on the net and saw the Byron at Byron but it was out of our price range, much to our disappointment. Later that day, with no solutions found, the resort we'd booked initially called us to say they could get us into the Byron at Byron if that was ok!! It was the best result we could have asked for! We arrived in awe of the beautiful surroundings and great service; after meeting the customer service liaison on a golf buggy from our stunning room to the pool (!), we returned back to the room to find a bottle of sparkling wine and a personal note to say "enjoy the last night of your honeymoon!"
I could have stayed there forever, we got fantastic service in beautiful surrounds, amazing facilities and an opportunity we couldn't have planned better! It made leaving Byron to go home even harder, but we'd jump at the opportunity to get back there again!
