Climate

Byron Bay and the region has much to offer all year round from relaxing on the beach and alfresco dining in the summer months to invigorating outdoor activities in the often sunny and drier winter months. Whale watching is a popular activity in the winter and spring months of June to October.

Summer is warm to hot with average maximum temperatures of around 27 degrees celsius. Winter is pleasantly cool with average maximum temperatures of around 20 degrees celsius. Historically March is the wettest month of the year and September the driest.
