The Byron at Byron Rainforest Walk

Many species of birds and native plants, several species of reptiles and amphibians and one macropod species have been identified within The Resort’s 45 acres of lush low lying rainforest.

The Resort provides the unique opportunity for guests to make the most of these natural surrounds via a self guided tour using the in-house Rainforest Walk Brochure and boardwalk access through the three main plant communities. The brochure provides an alphabetical list of many of the native plants and a map of where the identified species are located.

Bird Watching

A large variety of birds have been identified within The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa rainforest. This provides an ideal opportunity for those wishing to combine a relaxing holiday with a favoured pastime of bird watching. The variety of bird species will vary depending on seasonal changes, the availability of food sources and migratory patterns however a bird list is available of those which have been identified during the Resort’s years of operation.
